Here is a thought i came up with last friday....
thought i would share it with you guys.....
***
choice...
we have been making choices since the day we had our first rational choice.
up till the end of this sentence i would have made at least 47 choices. (count the words... =p)
it is such a simple thing we do subconsciously everyday that has been blown out of proportion by people in this recent days.
just think about it...
simply waking up in the morning is a choice...
the words we use, we choose them also...
even coming(writing for me) to this blog is also a choice.
we make them everyday, all the time.
on another note, since we make so many choices everyday, shouldn't we be very good at making the "right" choice?
well, to me the answer is a resounding NO.
well, some may disagree with me,
but to me the human mind cannot be trusted to make the right choices.
we are a fickle people.
one moment this, another that.
even within a lifetime of a particular person, it is rare (and i mean very-VERY-SUPERDUPER-RARE) to find anyone who has never once changed his/her mind once!
well..... if you know anyone like that, tell me... i'd like to know such a "straight" person.
but yet, it is this fickle-ness that makes human life interesting.
how monotonous would life be when everyone is as straight as a vector on a plane.
then our life would really be as two-dimensional as a plane....... (the plane here is NOT the thing that fly's and lands in Changi Airport...)
nevertheless, because we are so fickle, so interesting, can we ever be trusted to make decisions? to rule the world? to determine what is right and what is not?
but, if not us, who will?
the most rational thing on this planet (which are rocks) cannot help us.
imagine a pile of rocks meeting at Copenhagen to combat climate change! now that would be a sight to behold!
no... rocks cannot help us. bunnies cannot either. neither can trees and grass.
all that's left is for us to try to do our best, for no one else can fix the problem we caused for us.
we can only try to make do with what we have, fickle minds, and leave the rest to a greater power, and surrender our problems to God.
