another night has passed...

and here i am sitting in a stairwell in which i have found something interesting... it is kind of mysterious, though i believe theres a rational explanation to this... haha!

but anyway, you know what i really find peculiar about today's society?
its that nonsensical thing people call "popular" music... especially the english ones...

of course i would be guilty of over-generalisation if i claimed them all to be senseless... but seriously, a great deal of them are...
well, a whole lot of them are those used in clubs... sure they may fit the context in clubs (i wouldn't know since i've never been to one...) but anywhere else where people actually LISTEN to the lyrics would find that it is just full of rubbish... makes no sense at all...
and there is also the sorry state of the music itself. completely lacking in any decent accompainment, or any form of variations and creativity...

its just a sad and horrible degeneration of music...

well... some say "ah that's 'cause izz popular music... nt all music izz liddat!"

but hey... wind back the clock and the "popular" music of any other time period before us... wouldn't they be the symphonies, quartets, arias and the lot? why then can the composers of the past come up with music which are so rich and so much more intricate then todays?
and i thought that with technology, we would be more sophisticated...

then again... maybe this is a sign of an even BIGGER problem... perhaps it isn't the issue of us losing our prefernce for the refined, but swapping it for ridicularity, but rather an issue of technology ristricting us and impeding our creativity...
composers of old, did their craft with a piece of paper and a pencil/pen... they had tonnes of manuscripts just to complete a true work of genius... today... well... i would like to believe that they even check their work on their fancy computers....

oh well... not like me ranting here can be of any use... i'm beginning to doubt if there's anyone reading...

so... its time to go!
cya next time!
